ABOUT US
Greg Evanko started Genesis Signs in 1992 while working as a commission mechanic at a local automotive dealership. Looking for a career change, he started making signs in his garage at night and on weekends.
In 1994, Greg left the dealership and joined the staff at Signs Now. Making this move enabled him to gain practical sign shop experience dealing with customers, invoicing, and basic sign shop practices.
In 1997, after leaving Signs Now, Genesis Signs opened at a location on Princeton, north of Candelaria. We purchased our first large format printer in 2000 and attended the 3M wrapping school at its headquarters in Minnesota.
Genesis Signs was the first sign shop in New Mexico to start wrapping vehicles. We have been wrapping vehicles longer than anyone else in New Mexico – and we know what we’re doing. The schooling offered at 3M gave us the basic skills required to wrap almost anything; however, nothing beats hands-on practical experience. We wrapped anything we could get away with.

Our current location at 9420-D San Mateo NE, four blocks north of Alameda, just west of I-25 was purchased in 2004. This location offers a large shop area that allows climate controlled installation and can accommodate large vehicles. Ask us how this could make a difference on your next wrap installation!

In 2015, we purchased a 4'x8' CNC Routing table, allowing us to produce dimensional letters as well as carved and custom shaped signs. This is an exciting addition to our shop and has opened up new possibilities in design and fabrication. Ask us what we can do with this new technology!
